Yes, General Colin Powell disses George Bush and the Republican party. Let's not forget that Powell showed the yellow stripe on his back by opposing the war in Iraq the second time. Let's also not forget that Powell also directed the first Iraq war that left Saddam Hussein in power. The word coward does not adequately describe the turncoat that General Powell has become. We all know that Colin Powell was forced out of the Bush administration after Bush's first term. I understand that Colin Powell is black and feels excited by a young black man who has more guts than he has. Barak Osama a transformational figure? I doubt it. America is not ready for ANY MUSLIM to be president of this great country and those who died in previous wars will do a massive turn in their graves with this ill-advised endorsement of a first term junior senator for president. History recorded the disaster the last time the United States elected a junior senator from Massachusetts who sounded too good to be true and almost led us into nuclear war.

This folks is just another way to keep out the hunters. It is a reason why hunting is diminishing in Vermont where it has been a way of life for generations. It works like this: rich flatlander buys up prime woods and fields, goes to Vermont land trust, cries with a loaf of bread under his arms to the Trust and the Trust takes his land out of use so that no one else can use it. Got it?

This is a support for an overpass on I91. All the other supports are being shored up with steel beams. A rather disturbing sight and a wakeup call for anyone driving up from Massachusetts on the interstate. This photo was taken this morning.

This lazy "person" found himself on spot on the flat street footbridge. Years ago, before the waves of "tolerant" folks settled into this corner of Vermont, panhandling was unknown in these parts. Of course, this "person" sets up shop near the food co-op naturally, where all the Earth-friendly, granola chewing, Bush-hating, peace loving fools go to shop. I guess he goes there because he knows that his kind always get a receptive audience there.
